Specifically, they wrote up our performance for Home and Native Sound at Clinton’s Tavern. Here’s an excerpt:

Lucky Stabb, that grunge-esque, punk-edged quadruplet, brings the energy. They jump, run, and bounce on stage. And, like the beads of sweat dripping down their temples, Lucky Stabb’s energy slides off of them and makes the audience want to get up and move - dance, jump, bounce, and bop - along with the screaming singer, ripping guitarists and banging drummer.

We played the Grand Porch Party a couple of weeks ago and had a great time! Basically a bunch of neighborhoods in uptown waterloo were taken over by local acts stripped down to acoustic mode. Attendance was in the hundreds! Check out this coverage in the KW Record

Come join us at The Hive on Friday July 29th as we open for our friends Lazu Lie! They’re working hard to finish off their debut CD. This show will be a great warm up for what is sure to be some extensive touring to follow!

i(Heart)Music.net, one of Canada’s premier indie music blogs has told the world its time to get lucky!.  More accurately, they write “Lucky Stabb sound kind of like Kurt Cobain fronting a low-fi garage rock band”.  This of course sparked much discussion internally about which of us gets to be the flannel clad rock zombie

ChartAttack featured one of our songs recently! They didn’t say much beyond suggesting we might be worth checking out, but oh well. Its still nice to get positive exposure!

Yes it’s finally done! The new album from LUCKY STABB titled “It’s Now or Later…” will be released on October 22nd at our CD release party at Maxwells Music House in Waterloo, Ont.

We are playing with CHILDEBEAST who is also releasing their new album on that night. Sort of a FAUXTOWN RECORDS joint release.

The entire evening will be captured on film by Future Film Productions for use in a future documentary!

Tickets are $10 with a CD, $7 without…….. BE THERE!
Advance tickets are available from band members or from Maxwell’s Music House.

Come join us tonight at the Circus Room with Nervous Wrecked, DeRive and DGB!  The fun starts at 9 and will continue on into the wee hours as usual.

Thats right, we’re opening for The Orfs at Maxwell’s Music House in Waterloo on Wednesday January 27th!  Cover is 5$  Come out and rock with us!

98% of the recording and mixing is finished. We are most likely having it mastered by Noah Mintz Mastering. He’s mastered recordings by bands that include Hayden, Howie Beck, Broken Social Scene, Billy Talent, Constantines, Appostle of Hustle, Stars, Wintersleep, Sarah Sleen, Cuff the Duke, The Dears, The Super Friendz… so that’s pretty exciting. The album will probably plummet in March…before vanishing into obscurity in this oversaturated, tedious market….YEAH!!!

The recording is nearly done so we’re getting back in the groove and playing live shows again… and what better way to start than with two Halloween themed shows!

The first is at The Circus Room in Kitchener on Oct. 17th with The Axxxidentals and The Barettas, both of which are really good live bands.  $5 at the door OR $3 if you’re in costume. Show starts at 9 pm.

October 30th we’re playing a Devil’s Night show at Maxwells Music House in Waterloo. This show is for charity and all proceeds will go to C.A.A.T. (Canadian Animal Assistance Team) who do great work helping and saving animals of all kinds, all over. Tickets are $10 and the live bands for the night Sex Dwarf, Childebeast & Lucky Stabb.

We’re hoping to raise as much as we can for them, so please come on out. If you can’t make it, you can always buy a ticket as a $10 donation.

Halloween costumes are encouraged for both shows!

Friday, July 17th, Lucky Stabb will be kicking off the night at 9:15pm sharp at the Joint! It’s located under The Hive at 200 King St East in Kitchener.

Also playing that night are Last One Out, Red Balloon and Isle of Thieves. Come out early and get Stabbed!

$5 admission, one ballot per patron, vote for your favorite band.

PS - We gives less than a fuck if we win or lose. We’re just there to rock.

Well, it’s been a while since an update…I know. We’ve been plugging away at recording our first album “It’s Now or Later…” which should be ready and completed around Sept. or Oct. It’s currently being mixed by Treason at Bee Room Studios and is sounding good! The proof will be in the puddin’.

A rockin’ night of Fauxtown performances at The Groove Kitchen featuring the still pre-legendary bands…

Admission is Free and each Band will play for roughly a half hour and the night will keep on a’movin’. See ya there!

We will be sharing the stage that night with Mary 5E and The Low Numbers. Should be a good night! Plenty of pool tables to keep you busy if a song or two sucks…(but they don’t…)
